Ali Sant
Crafting a brand and website to capture a multifaceted voice
Overview
At SuperWorks, I designed a brand identity and website for an urbanist, author, and activist whose work spans multidisciplinary fields. I created a brand system of colorful “building blocks” to unify her disciplines and built a site with an animated intro to reflect her dynamic work. The result is a clear, expressive platform that brings her story together for collaborators and audiences alike.
The Problem Space
Our client, Alison Sant, needed a way to present her multifaceted identity clearly and compellingly online. The challenge was translating complexity into simplicity without diluting her vision.
My Contributions
Working closely with my creative director, I focused on:
Brand identity development: Crafted a set of core colored shapes to represent the themes in Alison’s work (e.g., writing, activism, teaching) to form a modular visual language for the brand.
Website design: Translated the brand system into an information architecture, wireframes, and interfaces.
Animation: Designed an animated intro using Figma and Lottie to bring the identity to life, and made the first impression of the site engagement narrative-rich.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborated with the creative director and developer to ensure design intention was preserved through production.

Result
The final website and identity provide a clear, visually unified narrative of the client’s varied work, which makes it easier for visitors, collaborators, and institutions to understand her full breadth. The animated intro adds an engaging, memorable touch that sets the tone from the first interaction.

Reflections
I was able to lead a major part of this project, and I'm so grateful to be able to learn new project management skills to make key design decisions. This project also reinforced how abstract visual systems can serve as powerful narrative tools when representing complex, interdisciplinary work. It also gave me deeper experience collaborating across brand and motion design disciplines to create emotional clarity and narrative cohesion.
